About the Role:

The Associate Technical Service Desk role is an entry-level position responsible for providing first-line technical support to end users. This role involves troubleshooting routine hardware, software, and connectivity issues, escalating complex problems to higher-level teams, and contributing to a seamless support experience for clients.

This position is ideal for individuals starting their career in IT support, offering opportunities for growth and skill development within a global technology organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist users with first-line technical support, guiding them through steps to restore system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues using remote access tools.
  • Escalate complex issues to 2nd and 3rd level support teams as necessary.
  • Coordinate and fulfill end-user service requests, including software installations and administrative tasks.
  • Manage service tickets to closure, ensuring users are kept updated on status and progress.
  • Adhere to service desk, desktop, peripheral, connectivity, and security policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service desk knowledge base.
  • Support special projects as assigned.
  • Deliver results aligned with the organization’s service level agreements (SLAs).

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Generally less than 1 year of professional experience in technical support or IT service desk operations.
  • Basic understanding of hardware, software, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and policies.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to team success.
  • Ability to work in a structured, fast-paced environment.
